Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical services within a secure state correctional setting in Boscobel, Wisconsin. This is a 26-week assignment offering a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Assignment Details

• Duration: March 9, 2026 – September 5, 2026 (26 weeks)

• Schedule:

  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)

  • Preferred: 4 days per week (8-hour shifts)

  • Open to: 3 days per week (10-hour shifts), though not preferred

• Hours: Up to 32 hours per week

• Workdays: Monday through Friday

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin Nurse Practitioner license in hand (required)

• Ability to complete one full week of onsite training/orientation prior to beginning assignment at the designated facility.

  • Training will take place at a separate Department of Corrections location.

  • Travel and lodging expenses for training will not be reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to an adult patient population

• Conduct assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans

• Prescribe medications and monitor ongoing care

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare and security teams

• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
