Job Requirements:

The Position will have the following requirements:

  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner

  • Current TX Nurse Practitioner medical licensure

  • Minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care

  • Current Basic Life Support Certification

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish encouraged, but not required

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs history and physical assessment, behavioral health care, minor procedures, patient education, and refers any care beyond the scope of local medical facilities emergency departments or urgent care centers.

  • Conduct intake health interviews and medical assessments

  • Onsite diagnosis and treatment of basic medical conditions and provide routine onsite care

  • Referral to the local health system for complex, urgent, or emergent medical conditions

  • Enhanced medical monitoring; public health/infectious disease support

  • Medical summaries prior to travel, transfer, or release
