Job Description
A growing healthcare team is seeking an experienced APP (NP/PA) to provide Emergency Medicine locum support for a brand‑new freestanding Emergency Department located near Scottsville, Kentucky. This facility, which will also house an Urgent Care, offers a modern, efficient clinical environment designed to support high‑quality acute care.
This assignment is anticipated to begin around 04/13/2026, with a need for providers who can offer day, night, and swing shift availability. The role is ideal for experienced Emergency Medicine providers who are comfortable in acute, fast‑paced settings and adaptable to various hospital environments such as acute care, critical access, or LTAC facilities.
Providers will benefit from a competitive market rate, malpractice coverage, and full support from Sumo Medical Staffing’s credentialing and recruitment team throughout the assignment.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care within a brand‑new freestanding Emergency Department that also includes Urgent Care services.
Cover day, night, and swing shifts (APP swing hours TBD).
Deliver Emergency Medicine care consistent with ABEM‑level expectations.
Document all patient encounters accurately within the EMR.
Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and hospital leadership as needed.
Support Emergency Medicine operations within Acute / Critical Access / LTAC settings.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Kentucky (KY) state license.
Board Certified / Board Eligible; 2–5 years post‑residency experience preferred.
Emergency Medicine experience required; ABEM experience preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong communication and clinical decision‑making skills.
