Role and responsibilities
A growing multi speciality group in the Atlanta Metro area is hiring an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its inpatient and step down support team. This role is full time with a flexible schedule and offers a mix of acute care visits, follow ups and clinical support for adult patients.
The team provides coverage for common acute conditions, post discharge follow up, rapid assessments and collaborative management with the supervising physician. You will have respiratory therapists, RNs and MAs available depending on the unit. New graduates with strong acute care clinical rotations may apply.
This position includes a competitive base salary plus bonus opportunities based on quality and productivity. Full benefits are provided.
Responsibilities
• Perform acute care assessments for adult patients
• Manage chronic conditions during admissions and handle basic urgent needs
• Order labs, imaging and review diagnostic results
• Assist with step down rounding and transitional care planning
• Document in EMR and follow established clinical pathways
• Communicate with physicians, care coordinators and nursing staff
Qualifications
• Active AGACNP or FNP with acute care background
• Minimum 1 year of experience OR strong clinical rotations in acute care
• Solid clinical judgment and comfort with moderate acuity
• Good communication skills and collaborative mindset
