Role and responsibilities
We're seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team based in Arlington, VA. This hybrid position blends on-site patient care at our Arlington clinic with mobile visits to partner facilities across the greater D.C. metro and Northern Virginia region.
You'll manage acute and medically complex patients across inpatient and transitional care settings, working alongside physicians, specialists, and care teams. The mobile component covers partner sites within approximately 60 miles, including locations in Fairfax, Alexandria, Manassas, and Fredericksburg. This role is ideal for an ACNP who wants clinical variety, autonomy, and the energy of a growing team in one of the most dynamic healthcare markets in the country.
What You'll Do
Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and complex conditions across clinic and partner facility settings
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, order and interpret diagnostics, and build individualized treatment plans
Coordinate transitions of care between inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute environments
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including attending physicians, case managers, and specialty consultants
Maintain timely, thorough documentation in the EMR
Travel to regional partner sites as part of the mobile care model (mileage fully reimbursed)
Who We're Hiring:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC or AGACNP-BC)
Active Virginia NP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
DEA license or willingness to obtain
1+ year of acute care NP experience preferred; exceptional new graduates with strong acute care rotations considered
Comfortable with clinical autonomy in a mobile/hybrid care model
Reliable transportation for regional travel
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $120,000–$140,000/year (commensurate with experience)
Signing bonus: $7,500
Relocation assistance up to $5,000 for out-of-state candidates
Full mileage reimbursement for travel between sites
